Since the VOC law change in 2012 transparent and semi-transparent stain performance evaluation has become challenging. Many factors such as texture, solvent restrictions and the use of hazardous chemicals in cleanup and maintenance should be considered when specifying a stain for exterior wood use. This course explores those factors and provides case studies showcasing different results.
